PROBLEM

Students need opportunities to engage with authentic purposeful learning experiences in order to apply their learning and to inspire new learning.

HOW MIGHT WE…

Engage students in authentic purposeful learning experiences in order for students to transfer their learning and inspire new learning by leveraging internal talent and external partnerships?

SOLUTION

Project-based learning (PBL) will be progressive in cognitive development, skill development and complexity. The experience will be integrative of the STEM disciplines, linking Common Core Mathematics and the NGSS Science & Engineering Practices. The PBL design will be fully specified as a UBD unit plan. Time working on the PBL unit will be coordinated by the Professional Learning Community and shared between the science, mathematics, technology and engineering blocks.
