PROBLEM STATEMENT
Students are not adequately challenged by current curriculum and express desire for more challenging, interest-based, and relevant learning experiences.
HOW MIGHT WE…
Build student self efficacy through learning tasks that involve critical thinking in order to promote student growth and have students show their mastery through different alternate opportunities
SOLUTION
Implement a workshop model of instruction (including mini-lessons, small group instruction, stations, partners), student portfolios to demonstrate learning in a variety of ways, and student goal setting to increase ownership, motivation, and self-efficacy.
