PROBLEM STATEMENT

Middle school students need a way to express/influence/inform curricular decisions to increase ownership and engagement.

HOW MIGHT WE…

Create real-world learning experiences in order to increase engagement and ownership by leveraging our personalized learning days.

SOLUTION

Personalized learning day for 8th grade students that is responsive to student interest and choice. Students use technology and demonstrate learnings through a digital submission.

This process helped our team learn how to look beyond just the surface of the problem & dig deeper into all the “whys” surrounding the problem. It allowed us to truly collaborating as a team with all voices being equal and created an environment in which we felt comfortable sharing our ideas.”
