PROBLEM STATEMENT

Students need multiple ways to master math concepts; however, not all teachers are confident teaching multiple strategies using multiple modalities.

HOW MIGHT WE…

Change math instruction in order to deepen student conceptual understanding by leveraging teacher confidence and knowledge in math instruction?

SOLUTION

Implement Engage NY math curriculum. We supported teachers during collaborative professional development to implement this curriculum effectively using technology, physical manipulatives, and data-driven differentiated academic support for students at their individual challenge level.
