HOW MIGHT WE…

Build culture to develop common language and practices around assessing and grading.

SOLUTION

Our big idea is to empower the faculty to discover their own learning about grading expectations and assessments through a process of inquiry to develop a shared understanding around these practices. With teacher insights we created a standardized grading tool for teachers to utilize to increase uniform grading called One Von. Standard practice increases clarity and consistency for students in understanding their performance and progress. The tool was piloted with a group of 12 teachers across all four grade levels and multiple subjects to gather feedback and is expanding to a larger cohort of teacher to continue testing and gathering feedback.
